Improvements to infrastructure is the driving force behind some development strategies and are critical to Siskiyou County. The goal is to improve the local quality of life in rural communities and by doing so can also further economic development.
GNC’s purpose is to improve the delivery of infrastructure assistance, both financial and technical, to local jurisdictions in Siskiyou County. We do this by keeping jurisdictions informed of changes in infrastructure programs or services and by providing opportunities to network and gain information:
GNC attends conferences where state and federal programs assisting local governments with infrastructure needs convene to share information about their programs with local government representatives;
GNC provides technical assistance to communities by bringing together the appropriate funding and technical assistance representatives with community members to collaborate on specific projects;
