Serving residents in Siskiyou County to make their homes more energy efficient. Renters and owners living in houses, apartments, and manufactured or mobile homes can receive assistance.

Q. Is there any cost to the renter or owner?
A. No, all weatherization services are at no cost to eligible renters or home owners.

Q. Can renters get weatherization services?
A. Yes, renters can receive services once a service agreement is signed by the property owner.

Q. How long does it take to get service?
A. GNC is required to serve low income and vulnerable populations based on their need and several other criteria. The evaluation of those criteria determines how soon a client is served. It can take several months to a year and half to receive services.

Q. How often can I apply?
A. Apply every calendar year until you receive services.  Each address can only receive assistance one time.

Q. What services are provided?
A. The program can repair and replace exterior doors, windows and certain appliances and install floor and ceiling insulation. Additional energy efficiency measures are also available, as well as diagnostic testing of heaters and fuel burning  appliances for the safety of the occupants. The program does not repair roofs.

Q. How do I apply for weatherization services?
